The Great Outdoors
The
Big Creek Reservation is part of the Metroparks system, with a 2.4-mile Lake to Lake Trail that connects Lake Abram to Lake Isaac over headwater wetlands. The
State Road Park has trails, playgrounds, softball fields and disc golf.
The semi-professional soccer league
AFC Cleveland plays on Byers Field, which also hosts a variety of other outdoor sporting events. Every year for over two decades the
Parma Rib 'N Rock has vendors, live music, and plenty of ribs in June.
Dining & Drinking
Parma has a variety of chain restaurants and sports bars, but Taryn is particularly interested in its strong presence of ethnic cuisines.
Cuisine of India is an authentic Indian restaurant located next to an Indian market.
Charm Thai offers traditional Thai food.
Ukrainian Village on State Road and Polish Village on Ridge Road have annual festivals and different businesses that cater to Eastern European cultures, including plenty of food. Parma many churches of many denominations, and during Lent they are popular places to get a good fish fry and pierogi.
Eddie's Pizzeria Cerino is a family pizzeria and Italian restaurant with a fun bar. The
Harry Buffalo is a popular chain around Cleveland. For dessert, and a local summertime tradition,
East Coast Custard is a must-try, as is
Honey Hut Ice Cream on the other side of town.
Yorktown Lanes, next to East Coast Custard, was recently completely redone on the inside, and hosts leagues every Friday night.
